Neurodiversity Articles & Resources For November
It’s getting closer and closer to the end of the year, and with that comes an expectation of celebration, and what for many Autistic and otherwise Neurodivergent people is a difficult experience. Here at DGH Neurodivergent Consultancy, I am trying hard to build the offerings and supports that I can provide to Autistic people and other neurokin.
This article will feature some notable resources and articles from recent times that I feel people need to know about.
Closure Of ADHD Services In England
The pressure on diagnostic services and long wait times are not exactly breaking news for neurodivergent people. Particularly those of us seeking autism and ADHD diagnosis. What is concerning is that it appears that rather than providing more resources to meet the increased demand, services are closing their doors and refusing to assess. This is a truly dangerous thing for them to do.
Below are links to the formal statement on these closures as well as some analysis of the situation.
Further to this, you can read the analysis i have written on my two substack newsletters.

Autistic & Neurodivergent Christmas Guide
Jade Farrington has commissioned a wide range of Autistic & Neurodivergent professionals to write an updated version of their Christmas survival guide. I had the privilege of writing a section on addiction recovery on behalf of Autistic Substance Use Network (ASUN).
If you would like to check out the guide you can view it on the resources page of this website or on Jade’s Substack.
Brand New Podcast!
Tanya Adkin and I recently launched our new Neurodiversity In Discussion… podcast. This podcast takes a unique approach of including the audience in the podcast. Not only are we chatting to each other, we’re chatting with those who have purchased tickets to access the zoom we are recording in.
If you want to checkout the podcast, it’s main home is on Substack, but it is also available on Spotify, Apple, and Pocket Casts. Substack and Spotify are linked below. Ticketholders get exclusive access to the video recording.
Reimagining Psychiatry Series
I have been using instant message conversations with a psychiatric nurse to explore the psychiatric system, psychiatric experiences, and how we can move forward. Aslynn Romero has provided some fantastic conversation to spur the creation of this series, and I am excited for more people to read it.
Below are links to the two parts published so far.

The McCullough Report
The McCullough report represents a revival of early 2000’s antivax sentiment. With it’s authors and contributors (which include the disgraced Andrew Wakefield) having influence of the US political administration, this is a deeply dangerous development.
